Lurra starts with a long rectangular strip that is grafted together to create a brim. The strip is worked with twisted cables on a reverse Stockinette stitch ground with optional beaded accents.Stitches are then picked up along the top edge of the brim and worked in the round to create the hat.

The top of the hat has four decrease points that create a geometrical crown… finally the hat is finished off with a pom-pom or a pair of knotted I-Cords.

Kits for Lurra were sent as January’s shipment for Lola’s Choice (Laura’s super fun small knitted kit club).
You can also purchase the pattern as a pdf and gather your own supplies to make Lurra.

The difference between Lurra and Garter Lurra is the complexity of the band… you can purchase them individually, or together for a discounted price!
