Inspired by the Artichoke French Sweater, Artichoke French Mittens are the perfect snug hand warmer.

Knit in a dense Aran weight yarn (I love Jill Draper’s Empire) at a tight gauge wind will be hard pressed to get through the stitches and chill your fingers. The snug fit makes it easy to drive, open the mailbox, and walk the dog. If you want them loose enough to wear liners under for extra warmth then just knit a size up!

I talk a bit about my design process for these mittens on my blog, and I made you a video tutorial for the stitch!
