Pack your needles and your walking shoes—we’re headed to New Zealand and Australia for a once-in-a-lifetime knitting adventure on board the Holland America Westerdam.
It will be my first time in the Southern Hemisphere and I cannot wait to explore with my knitting buddies!

We’ll be starting in Auckland, and cruising along the southern coast of New Zealand before crossing the Tasman Sea, stopping in Tasmania, and then landing Down Under! When we aren't busy exploring and learning, we'll have plenty of time to knit, learn, connect, and create onboard.

I’ll be designing a special project just for this cruise, and you'll receive everything you need to bring it to life while we travel. If you’ve been dreaming of visiting New Zealand and Australia like I have, now is the time to turn that dream into a Lola-led reality.

Jan 28 – Arrive in Auckland, New Zealand
Jan 29 – Auckland Day Tour 
Jan 30 – Embarkation m.s. Westerdam in Auckland
Jan 31–  Tauranga (Rotorua), New Zealand
Feb 1 – Napier, New Zealand
Feb 2 – Wellington, New Zealand
Feb 3 – Picton, New Zealand
Feb 4 – Lyttelton (Christchurch), New Zealand
Feb 5 – Port Chalmers (Dunedin), New Zealand
Feb 6 – Cruising Fiordland National Park
Feb 7 – Day at Sea
Feb 8 – Day at Sea
Feb 9 – Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
Feb 10 – Day at Sea
Feb 11 – Melbourne, Australia
Feb 12 – Day at Sea
Feb 13 – Disembark in Sydney, Australia
 

Includes:

  • 2 nights in an Auckland hotel (TBD) before the cruise – time to acclimate, explore, and connect with our group
  • Transfer to the ship on embarkation day (Jan 30th)
  • 3 private, handcraft-focused tours (1 in Auckland on Jan 29th), 2 TBD
  • A knitting project designed just for this cruise
  • A goody bag with yarn and supplies to bring that project to life
  • Four onboard knitting classes with Laura and Lola
  • Nightly knit nights with Lola in our own private room
