Spumante is worked from the bottom up, it begins with a beaded lace border and then is shaped with simple garter stitch short rows. The nine row edging chart incorporates nupps and beaded yarnovers to create a delicate and textured border. Handmaiden Swiss Silk (100% silk; 3.5 oz [100 g] / 432 yds [400 m]) 1 skein; Salt Spray

US size 4 [3. 5 mm] 32 inch or longer circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
US size 5 [3.75 mm] 32” or longer circ needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle

576 Size 8 glass seed beads; approx. 20 grams
Dental floss threader (for stringing on beads)

20 sts/40 rows (20 ridges) = 4 inches in garter stitch, blocked

Finished Measurements
Approx. 64 inches at widest point by 10 inches long at center
