This is a great beginner hat that you can whip up in no time at all for a quick gift, or just to keep warm. Great in bright colors to find your friends on the slopes, or in neutrals while walking the city streets with pizzazz. The pattern is sized for the whole family, so be prepared to make more than one!

Materials
Schaefer Yarn Kathleen (150 yards [137 m] / 8 oz [227 g]), 1 skein, or other super bulky weight yarn

US Size 11 [8 mm] dpns or size needed to obtain gauge
US Size L [8 mm] crochet hook
5 (5, 6) st markers (one in cc for beginning of rnd)
Tapestry ndl

Gauge
9 sts / 14 rows = 4"

Finished Measurements
S (M, L), approx. finished hat circumference 18” (19½”, 21”)
