Kitty

Meet Kitty, the newest design that uses my unique side-to-side Novus construction in a new way! The top stockinette stitch portion of the sweater is worked side-to-side, and then the bottom lace portion is worked in the round! Read more about this in the pattern notes. Kitty can be worked with two strands of yarn held together (as I did) or with one strand of yarn that gets gauge.

Lace- 503 (549, 594, 731, 778, 938, 987) yards/  460 (500, 540, 670, 710, 860, 900) meters light fingering weight yarn
Mohair- 503 (549, 594, 731, 778, 938, 987) yards/  460 (500, 540, 670, 710, 860, 900) meters mohair silk lace weight yarn

Yarn I Used:
Lace- Neighborhood Fiber Co, Capital Luxury Lace; (80% Merino wool, 10% silk, 10% cashmere; 560 yd [512 m]/ 4 oz [113 g]); 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins
Mohair- Neighborhood Fiber Co, Loft; (60% mohair, 40% silk; 360 yd [320 m]/ 1 oz [28 g]); 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins
US Size 8 [5 mm] 32-inch or longer circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge (for sweater)
US Size 7 [4.5 mm] 32-inch or longer circular needle, or one size smaller than needed to obtain gauge (for neckline)
Spare 32-inch or longer circular needle, a few sizes smaller than needed to obtain gauge (for picking up sts at bottom of bodice)
Tapestry needle

Scrap yarn
3.5 mm crochet hook for provisional cast on

SIZE
XXS (XS, S, M, L, 1X, 2X)
To fit bust 29 [32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52]”/ 74 [81, 91, 102, 112, 122, 132] cm with approximately 6”/ 15 cm positive ease. The green Kitty is an XXS on a 33” full bust, the purple Kitty is a XS on a 33” full bust and the blush Kitty is a S on a 34” bust.

GAUGE
17 sts x 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in St st with both strands of yarn on larger ndl, blocked (see Notes)
