Here’s a cowl to make with those small, precious, skeins of lace weight yarn you have in stash…
I adapted the Shetland Cockleshell stitch (which I used in Solite Shawl) to be worked in the round. Then, since I like to put beads on everything, I found a way to add them to the ridges of the shells. Of course the pattern includes a mini video tutorial which teaches you how to work the stitch with and without beads.
MATERIALS
200-250 yards [183-229 meters] of lace weight yarn
Yarn I Used:
Northlight Fibers, Forever Lace (80% Baby Alpaca, 20% Bamboo; 310 yd [283 m]/ 1.75 oz [50 g])
US Size 6 [4 mm] 16-inch (32-inch) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

Tool for placing beads- super floss, .75-1 mm steel crochet hook, or a Beadle Needle
